Moe is a Graphic and Web Designer who I simply LOVES being barefoot everywhere – yes even at work and on the streets! Moe lives in Toronto, Canada and has been indulging in the pleasures and benefits of a predominantly barefoot lifestyle since he was in my early 20′s. Now in his 40′s, Moe continues to advocate and pracite a barefoot lifestyle – his feet bare about 95% of the time, year-round.
Moe created Barefoot Canada as a venue to share his personal journey, as well as the amazing information he keeps discovering through his barefoot lifestyle. As well as to be able to provide a place to foster this great lifestyle among all who are interested from a Canadian perspective.
In Moe’s words:
I am keen on sharing the ‘barefoot experience’ first hand with anyone who is interested in joining me for some barefooting around Toronto. Please contact me directly if you want to compare notes about barefooting or if you want to join me for a barefoot walk somewhere around the city.

As a child, Michael’s “favorite pair of shoes” was that feeling of relief after taking off his actual shoes at the end of the day. On the couple of occasions that he ran barefoot as a kid — usually against the lifeguards’ wishes at the pool — he always felt so fast! As an adult in the Spring of 2005, Michael rediscovered his feet and decided to begin a barefoot lifestyle.
Michael goes barefoot as much as possible, but his full-time employer requires that male employees wear socks and shoes. In those instances, he wears only primal footwear. Away from work, Michael has gone barefoot at retail stores, restaurants, an art gallery, Major League Baseball games, town festivals, parks, churches and more.
He’s taken up barefoot running and has run three races of 5K or longer in 2010 without footwear. He was featured in an article about barefoot running in Kansas City Fitness magazine in August 2010. Michael started his blog called Barefoot and Grounded because he felt a need to share ways for society to begin reconsidering how they think about bare feet.
In addtion to regularly contributing to BarefootCanda, Michael runs his own barefoot lifestyle blog: Barefoot and Grounded. He also started The Primalfoot Alliance to bring together primalfoot-friendly people from across the world to advocate for those who wish to go barefoot or wear primal footwear. Michael, his wife and three children live in the Kansas City, Missouri, area.
